    Development Director

    With Honor is a cross-partisan non-profit organization that fights polarization in Congress through principled veteran leadership in public office. We work alongside 37 bipartisan veterans in the U.S. House and 11 bipartisan Senate allies who together have passed more than 250 laws focused on national security and national service.

    Position Overview

    With Honor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Development Director to lead our fundraising initiatives, with a particular focus on Political Action Committee (PAC) fundraising. A full-time position based in Washington, DC, the Development Director will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support With Honor’s mission. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, exceptional relationship-building skills, and strong attraction to our mission. The position requires the ability to attend evening functions in DC, and work from our office location in DC.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Fundraising Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, with a strong emphasis on PAC fundraising, to meet and exceed revenue goals.
    • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors, ensuring a robust and diversified funding base.
    • Event Planning and Management: Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events as well as other donor engagement activities.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and other key stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and initiatives.
    • Compliance: Ensure all fundraising activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing PACs and political fundraising.
    • Reporting: Monitor and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to the CEO and Executive Team.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Fundraising Experience: 7+ years of experience in fundraising, with a strong preference for experience in PAC fundraising or political campaign fundraising.
    • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies.
    • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages to engage donors and supporters.
    • Knowledge of Political Landscape: Familiarity with the political environment, campaign finance laws, and regulations related to PACs.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Commitment to Mission: A passion for With Honor’s mission and a commitment to promoting principled veteran leadership in public office.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
    • Network: Established network within the political and donor communities in Washington, DC.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency within donor management software.

    Terms: 

    • Full-time, in-office, Washington, DC-based
    • Salary range of $150,000-$175,000, commensurate with experience
